At the end of January, I took a drive to shoot the Bristol engagement photography of Stacie and Marc. Their wedding will be held in Lincolnshire, but as proud residents of Bristol, took the opportunity for some photos in their home town in plenty of time of the big day. As always I was happy to oblige and shoot somewhere I haven’t been for a number of years.
Bristol Engagement Photography
As it happened, we found some new and quirky places for all of us when we had our adventure in the area around the Clifton Suspension Bridge. Starting at the Clifton Observatory we were able to see across river despite the drizzly wet weather. It was the fine stuff that soaks you through! Here we stumbled across the entrance to a cave that none of us knew about. Perfect chance to play with the light. I just love the silhouette photograph of Stacie and Marc. They’re framed by the rocks at the top of the stairway. You can just tell they’re smiling at each other.
Every photoshoot should be an adventure
Stairways feature seem to feature in this shoot, I suppose when you’re surrounded by hills they’re needed! They make a gorgeous feature and are a great excuse for a cosy up. After our wander over the bridge, we found a little cafe for a warm meal to tie up a lovely afternoon. Considering the weather on the day, both Stacie and Marc look top notch. They’re as happy and loved up as if it was a summers day. Impressive work guys!
Stacie found me through a mutual friend on Facebook and I’m so pleased that she did. I’m really looking forward to their wedding later this year at Stoke Rochford Hall. Here’s to hoping the rain stays firmly in the south of England! Keep an eye out for a blog of their wedding next winter.
