Hull Couple Photography

I caught up with Jake and Gillian for their Hull couple photography in East Yorkshire earlier this week, just before their wedding at Elsham Hall. We were meant to have a couple of weeks before their big day, but as Boris is prone to do, he made some further last minute restrictions to weddings, reducing guest numbers by half. Having already rearranged their wedding from earlier this year, to 2021, and then back to Autumn 2020, these two, yet again, managed to perform some wedding wizardry rearranging to this weekend to avoid the restrictions coming into place from Monday. If you followed that, bravo!

Arranging a wedding once is pretty mean feat. All photographers in Hull and UK wide are seeing this sort of thing happening. What a world we live in. I think it shows the sheer grit and determination these two have. All they want to achieve is the wedding day of their dreams, which means being surrounded by their loved ones.

Hull Couple Photography

On Monday, we had the most gorgeous late afternoon sunlight. Checking out some of the countryside near Gillian’s childhood home, we took a walk through Welton Woods. I just love greenery and nature in my photography and these woods provided the perfect opportunity. As a Hull photographer I love to find these pockets of greenery and woodland, especially near a big city. How lucky were we to find a human made den too! I’d love to take credit for it’s construction, but unfortunately can’t. How cute are these photos?

After a speedy change on Gillian’s part – not even kidding, it was something akin to Superman stepping in and out of a phone box – we were back out. Finding this recently harvested field, this is where the sun came into its own. I had such a giggle with this couple and hope that the resulting photography shows this.  I can’t wait to see them again this Saturday at Elsham Hall for their wedding photography – one of two – the big party is next year!
