Emily and Chris’ Saltmarshe Hall wedding photography was brilliant! I can totally say that when Gary Barlow made an appearance. 100% true – Gary Barlow! All the hotels near Saltmarshe were excited – which would get the honour of putting him up overnight?! But, he chose a local stables. Gary Barlow the llama! Didn’t I mention that? Courtesy of Nidderdale llamas, everyone wanted a photo! It truly was a Yorkshire themed wedding since they’d travelled all the way to Howden, Yorkshire from the Yorkshire Dales! The envy of all wedding venues Hull.

Saltmarshe Hall wedding photography

Seriously though, llamas aside, Emily and Chris’ wedding was truly beautiful. From a calm and loving bridal prep, where everyone helped each other out, to their church wedding, every detail was perfect. With the drive from church to Saltmarshe, we crossed East Yorkshire‘s finest and River Ouse. With their creative input flourish of the llamas awaiting everyone at the venue, it was smiles and selfies all around! Although Saltmarshe Hall is licensed for weddings – and they only hold a wedding a day – having a church wedding and then reception is perfect. Plus we were able to take time at the church and the venue for some couple photos.

Saltmarshe Hall offers a range of wedding packages in East Yorkshire at their stunning venue. Saltmarshe hotels have so many options, and so much accommodation available to you and your guests. Both in the main house, stable house and bedroom cottage based (which are perfect for bridal prep). With a two bedroom cottage, and three bedroom, it’s a world away from everyday life, where you can all be together with plenty of space during bridal prep. There are of course other hotel near Saltmarshe Hall too. They have the really cool and unique feature of their swimming pool too, where you can relax with everyone after the wedding and make it a little picnic area in the summer.

The greenery of Saltmarshe Hall, especially in the late summer, is perfect for wedding photography. So many different places we could go for gorgeous backdrops and quiet places. We captured some really sweet couple photos, before making our way to the guests for those all important moments – confetti and cake. I can’t help but think Chris planned how his face was going to look in advance! Also, the famous roll top bath made an appearance in the blog too…. not what you’d expect!

Not a drama llama in sight!

So, go check out this unusual wedding venue – Saltmarsh Hall all the way, for wedding venues York – to date this is the only wedding with llamas I’ve attended! These are just a few photos that were delivered to the couple, but I hope you love them as much as I do!
