When you know the farmer down the road, and they’re happy to let you to borrow their field for your dream tipi wedding, then it’s on! Danielle and Dean live in a village in North Lincolnshire and this is exactly what happened. Planned around harvesting the field, it became car park, outdoor seating area, tipi zone and all out wedding heaven. By early the next week, everything had gone, the field had been ploughed and only the memory of a brilliant September wedding was left – and the photos of course!
Tipi wedding
Everything happened within a few hundred metres – getting ready, the church and the tipi reception. Bridal prep was at the family home and Danielle had her girl gang with her. I grew up with a lot of them so it was especially brilliant to catch up. The morning was so chilled and relaxed, and plenty of photo opportunities! A short walk took the bridal party to the village church for the wedding ceremony. Considering the tiny village, the church is really impressive. This is of course then led on to the tipi for rest of the day. No need for cars or any sort of vehicle for this bridal party.
Outdoor wedding photography
It was such a hot day, and the sun shone. Perfect for an outdoor tipi wedding. Everyone was so chilled and enjoying all of the little details Danielle and Dean had provided to entertain their guests. The backdrop of the tipi, the harvesting wheat field and of course hay bales made a wonderful setting.
Party photos
This wedding was huge – I delivered 1,493 fully edited photos for the couple. So much was going on! When people ask me how many photos to expect from their wedding, it can truly depend on what you have planned and how keen your guests are to get in front of the camera.
