Hi, I’m Aden

Your Elsham Hall wedding photographer

I’ve been photographing weddings at Elsham Hall, near Brigg in North Lincolnshire, since 2013 – it’s one of my favourite places to work, and it’s only a short drive from home.

The lake, the old trees, the gardens and that warm brick barn give you so many beautiful backdrops, whatever the season. I was even the first photographer to shoot a wedding at the lakeside pavilion when it opened for outdoor ceremonies.

With 17 years and more than 500 weddings behind me, I keep things relaxed and natural – capturing the laughs, the happy tears and the little moments as they happen, keeping posed photos quick, then staying right through the party.

Elsham Hall weddings I’ve photographed

Every Elsham Hall wedding has been different – here are a few favourites, from a tiny lakeside ceremony to a summer party featured on Brides Up North.

Katherine & Ben

Hilarious from start to finish – champagne on the bed with the bridesmaids, the lake and gardens in full summer colour, and a brilliant party in the barn.

My favourite photo spots at Elsham Hall

01The lakeside pavilion

Licensed for outdoor ceremonies, with carved hearts and the lake right behind you – stunning on a sunny day.

02The lake & the old trees

Huge, characterful trees and water views – my go-to for relaxed couple portraits in summer.

03The gardens

Colour all year round thanks to the gardeners, with plenty of privacy for a quiet five minutes together.

04The barn

Warm brick, fairy lights and draped fabric – beautiful for ceremonies, speeches and the party.

05The courtyard

Perfect for confetti, bouquet tosses and the drinks reception.

06The country park

Snowdrops in late winter and blossom in spring – lovely for engagement shoots too.

And when the sun goes down

I stay for the party

Elsham Hall parties are brilliant – a merry-go-round for Abby and Andy, a limbo contest at Chloe and Scott’s, and plenty of dance-floor chaos. With The Big Package there’s no time limit, so I’m there right until the end.

How much does an Elsham Hall wedding photographer cost?

My packages start at £1,650 for The Day Package, from bridal prep through to the first dance. The Big Package, with no time limit, is £1,900, and The Album Package with a 12×12 leather-bound album is £2,400. A £400 deposit secures your date – see everything on my prices page.

Have you photographed weddings at Elsham Hall before?

Lots of them – I’ve been photographing weddings here since 2013, including Katherine and Ben’s summer wedding, Erin and Mathew’s lakeside ceremony and Chloe and Scott’s church-and-barn day. I know the grounds, the light and the best spots in every season.

Can we have an outdoor ceremony at Elsham Hall?

Yes – the lakeside pavilion is licensed for outdoor ceremonies, with the lake behind you. I photographed the very first wedding there, and it’s been a favourite ever since. The barn makes a lovely ceremony space too if the weather has other ideas.

Where can we get ready for an Elsham Hall wedding?

Couples get ready all over – at home, in a hotel or a nearby cottage. Erin and her bridesmaids got ready at the Old School House in Wrawby, which has beautiful light for photos. Wherever you are, I’ll find the best window light in the room.

Can we get married in a church first?

Of course. Chloe and Scott married at the church in Wrawby before heading to Elsham Hall for the reception. I’ll photograph the ceremony, the confetti and the journey back, then we pick up the couple photos once you arrive.

Where are the best photo spots at Elsham Hall?

The lakeside pavilion, the lake and the big old trees, the gardens, the courtyard and the barn with its fairy lights. In late winter and spring the country park is full of snowdrops and blossom too.

What happens if it rains at Elsham Hall?

The barn is a gorgeous backdrop in its own right, with warm brick and fairy lights, and there are covered spots around the courtyard. I carry flash and backup gear, and we can nip outside with umbrellas whenever there’s a break in the weather.

Do you stay for the evening?

Yes – it’s my favourite part! The Big Package and The Album Package have no time limit, so I stay right through the party, from the first dance to the merry-go-rounds and limbo contests.
