Family. This word means so much and I can’t possibly explain all of the many moments, memories and emotions it can represent. Families are the people you cherish, places you love and the feelings that are attached to seemingly the most insignificant things. In our current world, family is our anchor and the reason we work so hard. We want to be our best self, for our family. In this modern world, we can all whip our cameras out for a quick photo, but sometimes professional family photography can be the best way to catch all of you on camera.

From bumps to babies, a growing family can change in a day. Are you bringing home a new sibling? In the whirlwind of a newborn, those hazy days pass by all too quickly. Even toddlers and older children of any age can grow so quickly. Let me join you to document snippets of this new life.
Beautiful family portrait photography
To create beautiful images, I let the situation unfold in front of me. Unlike studio photography, which is very process driven, I don’t control things. A family photoshoot with me is unique, I suggest ideas and locations. Our only limit is our imagination. Picture the scene – your home, your garden, your favourite park or beach. If you can imagine it, I can be there to photograph you all at a wide variety of locations.

Want to capture your family photoshoot out and about? Plan a walk at the local park and document you all howling with laughter at dad falling off the slide. Or, how about photography experience of the little ones squealing as they’re chased by that one goose who always wants a nibble as a first birthday treat! Or, the whole family could be snuggled up on the sofa together watching a movie, or roasting marshmallows by the fire.

A family portrait session is one way to take a snapshot of time.
Get together and create some honest and personal photos. For me it’s simple, be yourselves and I’ll document moments as they unfold. When a newborn baby begins their new life, photography of their first few weeks is so important as they change each day.
By having the photo shoot in your own home, you’re in control. Don’t worry about there being a pile of washing in one corner, or wanting the dog in some photos but not others for example, we can easily make our way around these things, especially when you’re on home turf.
I really wanted some newborn photos of my baby and our older children. I absolutely love Aden’s style and booked him before baby was even born! Aden came when Ettie was just ten days old and wow… he made the whole experience amazing. He was so calm with the kids and made it all so fun and natural.

I’ve been a photographer for many years, but as a new dad, my eyes have been opened to a whole new world. My children change every day. I’m lucky enough to be able to capture images as they grow.

Reading a situation is as essential as the resulting pictures. I can be the life and soul of a party, or calm and quiet; I can be a comedian and but can be a serious professional. I am all of these things, my photography is a serious business to me, but I know when I need to get a smile and I know when to slide into the background. This means we can get creative on the shoot location and capture incredible story telling photographs.
From Scotland to London family shoots - a family photographer that travels
There’s no need to be nervous, if I can capture a decent photo of my mother-in-law, (many have tried and failed before me!) then I can certainly take one of you. It’ll be so relaxed you won’t even blink when the camera makes an appearance.
Fine art, light-filled natural portraits
Included in the package are all the wonderful family photos we produce throughout your session. These digital images will be delivered in an online gallery, allowing you to revisit the images for years to come. You can share your link with family and friends. You’re able to print directly from there, or choose to have your own, wall art, prints or albums made.

Christmas and birthday presents are the perfect time for family photo sessions. For those that have everything, a photoshoot or prints voucher is a gift of time and one where the results will be revisited for life. Shoots can then be booked into the diary at everyones convenience.
