A Cleatham Hall wedding – a quiet place in the country

When Matt and Harriot got engaged I really hoped they’d get in touch. They have been long time friends and I was absolutely over the moon when they asked me to photograph their Cleatham Hall wedding. Over the years of knowing them both I knew they were always up for a party. Little did I know how much of a party it would be! The evening photos are some of the most hilarious ones I took this year. These are just a small sample of the many photographs I delivered to them. But, each and every one was full of such life.

Wedding photographer in the room!

Harriot chose to get ready at her parents house in Kirton in Lindsey and then onto St Andrew’s Church. Surrounded by her family and bridesmaid squad it was a hive of activity. Check out the photos of Harriot in her dress surrounded by her maids. These tell a real story of emotion and togetherness before making those final steps off to the church. I love being able to capture these parts of the day. The best thing to do is to ignore that I’m a wedding photographer and treat me as one of the family. This way I get those fantastic moments, such as Harriot’s dad sneaking around the kitchen wall and his look of love in the hallway.

Cleatham Hall

The couple chose to have their reception at Cleatham Hall near Manton, Lincolnshire. Cleatham Hall is a beautiful little mansion hidden away from the public in the countryside. It has gorgeous seasonal gardens and offers so much for weddings. Luckily the weather held off and it made for beautiful photos within the grounds both of the couple and the guests. A perfect Cleatham Hall wedding!
