Yorkshire wedding photography has been a passion of mine for over 17 years. I’ve visited venues across the region many times. Knowing the hidden gems and the best spots for photos gives me the edge when it comes to beautiful portraits.
From morning prep to the end of the night, my job is to document your story as it unfolds – capturing who you are and your personality, for a true representation of your wedding day.

Relaxed, natural & a little bit of a party
When it comes to wedding photography, personality is key. My style doesn’t have a fancy label – I let your day happen in front of me and capture the glances, the hand squeezes and the happy tears exactly as they unfold.
I want you to feel like I’m part of your wedding party – not as a supplier, but as a friend you trust. Guests often ask if I’ve known the couple for years! And I stay late: The Big Package has no time limit, so I’m still there on the dance floor long after the first dance.

As we say in Yorkshire, it’s God’s own country – and it’s the perfect place for weddings. Portraits in the heather on the moors, traditional Yorkshire stonework, farm barns and industrial mills – there’s a venue for every style.
West, North or East Yorkshire, or closer to me in South Yorkshire – that’s the beauty of the A1. I’ve photographed at Saltmarshe Hall, Riverlands, Bunny Hill, Tickton Grange, The Normans, Sledmere and the Yorkshire Wedding Barn, to name a few.

North, South, East and West
A wedding photographer for the whole of Yorkshire
Yorkshire is a big county. Every corner of it has its own feel, so here’s where you’ll find me.
North Yorkshire, the Dales and the Moors
Big skies, stone barns and country houses. As a Yorkshire wedding photographer, I’ve photographed weddings at Middleton Lodge near Richmond, the Crab and Lobster near Thirsk, Howsham Hall near York, the Sun Pavilion in Harrogate, Hackness Grange near Scarborough and The Tithe Barn at Bolton Abbey. Up in the Dales there’s The Devonshire Fell and the Coniston Hotel near Skipton. Over on the North York Moors there’s Danby Castle too. Couple shoots at Brimham Rocks and Robin Hood’s Bay are always a laugh!
East Yorkshire and Hull
Country estates and proper party barns. Saltmarshe Hall, Sledmere House, Rise Hall, Tickton Grange, Bunny Hill, Riverlands and The Barn at Willerby are all favourites of mine. There’s lots more on my Hull wedding photographer page.
South Yorkshire
The closest part of Yorkshire to home for me. Doncaster is just down the road, with Sheffield, Rotherham and Barnsley within easy reach. Becky and Harry’s autumn wedding at Bawtry Hall is a lovely example of a South Yorkshire country house wedding. Just south of the Humber, I photograph lots of Lincolnshire weddings too.
West Yorkshire
Leeds, Wakefield, Halifax, Huddersfield and Ilkley are all an easy drive for me. Old mills, moorland and city venues give West Yorkshire weddings a character all of their own.

Guests often say they don’t see wedding photographers staying past the first dance, but this is where I want to shake up the industry. The documentary style truly happens once everyone is on the dance floor – and I’m so lucky to see the joy and laughter when I stay into the late evening.

Yorkshire wedding photography FAQs
How much does a Yorkshire wedding photographer cost?
My packages start at £1,650 for The Day Package, from bridal prep through to the first dance. The Big Package has no time limit and is £1,900. The Album Package with a 12×12 leather bound album is £2,400. A £400 deposit secures your date.
Do you cover the whole of Yorkshire?
Yes. North, South, East and West Yorkshire, from the Dales and the Moors to the coast. I photograph weddings all over the UK and abroad too.
How long do the couple photos take?
Usually 15 to 30 minutes. If your venue has lots of lovely spots it’s nice and quick. I always keep it short, so you’re back with your guests enjoying your day.
How many photos will we get?
The Day Package includes 700+ photos and The Big Package 800+. A busy full day wedding is often 1,200 or more. Because I stay late, the evening can make up around half of your gallery.
When will we get our wedding photos?
You’ll get a preview within a week and your full gallery within four weeks. I stick to a strict deadline, so you won’t be waiting months.
Can we meet you before we book?
Absolutely. We’ll have a relaxed call, video chat or a cuppa in person, so you can ask anything and get to know me. There’s no cost and no pressure.
We hate having our photo taken. Can you help?
I completely get it. I’m camera shy myself! I might be outgoing on a wedding day, but deep down I’m a quiet introvert who loves his own space. I’ll check in with you, have a laugh and keep things relaxed. I’ve got a few secrets to help, but you’ll have to wait for the day to find those out.
Can we see full wedding galleries?
Of course. I’ve got hundreds of galleries to show you. Send me a message with the kind of venue or style you’re after and I’ll send some over.
What happens if it rains?
It’s Yorkshire, so we plan for it. I carry flash and backup gear for any weather. We’ll use the best sheltered spots at your venue. You’d be surprised how many great photos come from a small space.

How do we book?
Once we’ve had a chat, I’ll send over a contract with all the finer details. If you’re happy, return it with the £400 deposit and your date is officially yours.
