Saltmarshe Hall is the perfect venue for your wedding day
Where do I start? Saltmarshe Hall is the perfect venue for wedding photography on your wedding day. A classic Yorkshire wedding country house that oozes elegance. This wedding venue has so many fun options for utterly gorgeous wedding photographs. As a regular Saltmarshe Hall wedding photographer, I’ve visited this Yorkshire wedding venue many times. I’ll never run out of options here!
It must have been almost 9 years ago that I first photographed at this wedding venue and wow, it has changed so much but always for the better. Always ahead of the trend, the team at Saltmarshe Hall think outside the box especially when it comes to providing a neutral but elegant backdrop for your wedding. The perfect choice for you to apply your own finishing touches.

If it’s stunning wedding photographs you’re after, then Saltmarshe Hall has to be a high contender on your list of wedding venues in East Yorkshire. Everything from getting ready in the bridal suite, plenty of locations to choose for the wedding ceremony, wedding breakfast, wedding reception, evening reception – you can make your Saltmarshe Hall wedding your way.

Saltmarshe Hall gardens offer extensive lawns, a stunning walled garden and unique features.
At Saltmarshe Hall you can use anywhere in the gardens, with formal photos in the walled gardens, by the banks of the River Ouse, or on the patio area. Ending the night on the dance floor for the party, you and your guests have so many options to create stunning wedding photographs.
I cannot recommend Aden enough. From day one of talking to him, he went out of his way to make us as comfortable as possible and understand what we wanted from the day.

The morning of your special day
With a range of locations for the morning, the two bedroom cottage, converted stable house, or the main wedding venue of Saltmarshe Hall itself, you and your friends or family will have a morning to remember. I’ve photographed lots of memories been made between a bride, groom and bridesmaids (or groomsmen) and loved ones before their weddings at Saltmarshe Hall.
Lucy & Craig made full use of the house
Theme : Summer, Elegance
On the morning of their wedding Lucy used the Yorkshire suite for preparations and Craig opted to use the Stables.
Saltmarshe Hall wedding photography details
There are so many details to capture on a wedding day, and there are so many places to do this at Saltmarshe Hall! At the venue, I have all sorts of places to catch those details of the flowers, wedding dress or rings. But, my aim is to tell your story through my wedding photography and so wherever I use, it tells the story and flow of your wedding.
The Wedding Ceremony
After all of the waiting and preparation, you finally get to walk down the aisle in front of family and loved ones. Whether you choose an indoor or outdoor ceremony, the space will fill with love. I love to hear the oohs and ahhs as the wedding party arrive.
Whether a bride or groom, it’s a special time, and this wedding photographer has a busy time capturing all the great emotions. Many of my reviews from couples comment that they can relive their wedding through the photos – the best compliment!

Two ceremony locations at this wedding
Nicola and James made the most of their Saltmarshe Hall wedding photography by having two ceremonies, and of course two dresses. Their Yorkshire wedding was on an incredibly hot day, but the bride powered through. This was one of the first wedding shoot and I fell in love with this venues look. Have a look!
Grounds perfect for wedding photos
Saltmarshe Hall has the perfect setting to capture images once you are married in the portrait session or couple photos. The view is stunning, and so in terms of backdrop the only problem is choosing. In the walled garden there are endless options, and with a dedicated Saltmarshe Hall head gardener, the grounds are vibrant year round whenever your wedding date is. If we visit the river bank on the right day, you can photograph the sun set over the River Ouse.
I love capturing this bit of your day, and in my option an essential part of your Saltmarshe Hall wedding photography. In reality, it doesn’t need to take much time, but is perfect to check in and find a place or two to catch those mantlepiece images that people love, which last a lifetime.
A winters day at Saltmarshe
Bex and Iain chose Saltmarshe Hall as their winter wedding venue and I immediately knew how special it would be. Yet, it was a crazy warm day, perfect for the outdoor flame dancers. Their blog is here.
Lets Party - I stay until the end!
Photos of the evening celebrations are a huge part of a wedding day.
I offer a pretty unique part of my weddings photography packages – I stay until the end of the night! Most wedding photographers leave shortly after the first dance, whereas I stay for at least 2 hours more.
Over the years this has made for an interesting experience. You may have seen the hangover where they look through the camera results at the end? Well, I’m that camera to remember and laugh back at those drunk memories! You have full copyright of the pictures too.
During our wedding Aden was perfect, he managed to get so many photos of all of our loved ones (some without us even knowing!) and he treated us like one of his oldest friends, he fit right in with all of our guests and joked and laughed with us all day. We were over the moon with our photos and would recommend Aden to all our friends.

I always take my own memories from weddings, and love to leave you with brilliant wedding photographs
Hannah and Josh’s wedding was one to remember, but this moment in particular is among the top memories that stick inside my head. Hannah climbed into the bath whilst a little tipsy and accidentally hit the tap while climbing in. This turned the water on full flow, just as the evening was starting! Her laughter could be heard around the wedding venue!
Venue perfect for for partying
Hannah and Josh gave their guests a day to remember at their East Yorkshire wedding venue, bringing the life and soul to the party. Everyone will talk about their Saltmarshe Hall day for years. Even the sash windows offer wedding photography moments!
