Welcome, I’m Aden

Your wedding photographer in Hull

Hi, I’m Aden – a relaxed, natural wedding photographer in Hull, covering the whole of the East Riding of Yorkshire. With over 17 years and more than 500 weddings behind me and packages from £1,650, Hull and the East Riding is where I feel most at home.

From Tickton Grange, Beverley Minster, Oaklands and The Barn at Willerby to The Manor Rooms in South Cave, Dunedin House, Cave Castle, Rise Hall and Saltmarshe Hall and Bunny Hill, I know the Hull and East Riding wedding venues well – but no two love stories are ever the same. I photograph every wedding honestly, capturing the moments that tell your story and the little details that make your day yours.

Whether you’re following tradition or breaking all the rules (the rule breakers are often the most fun!), I love chatting through your plans early on, so I can capture your day exactly as you picture it.

My style

Relaxed, natural photos – with a bit of a party

When it comes to wedding photography, personality is key. My style doesn’t have a fancy label – I let your day happen in front of me and capture the glances, the hand squeezes and the happy tears exactly as they unfold.

I want you to feel like I’m part of your wedding party – not as a supplier, but as a friend you trust. Guests often ask if I’ve known the couple for years! And I stay late: The Big Package has no time limit, so I’m still there on the dance floor long after the first dance.

Local to Hull

Hull & the East Riding feel like home

You know it’s going to be a fun wedding if it’s in Hull! I’ll always be a countryside boy at heart, but I married a proud Hullensian – and I’ve even picked up bits of the accent.

As a wedding photographer in Hull, this is where I photograph most often, so I know the venues, the churches and the best spots for photos whatever the weather. I love the real moments and little glances between couples and guests that make every Hull wedding so memorable.

I cover the whole of the East Riding, from Beverley, Cottingham and Hessle to Driffield, Bridlington, Hornsea and Howden. Home is just over the Humber Bridge in North Lincolnshire, so I photograph plenty of Lincolnshire weddings too.

My approach

How I’ll photograph your day

01

Your whole day, as a story

A wedding day creates so many memories that must be photographed as your story unfolds. Capturing both the special moments and the small details is essential to telling the full story – so you can pinch yourself and remember the adventure of the day.

02

Candid, not stiff

Catching truly natural moments, when you genuinely feel comfortable. Not everyone feels at ease in front of the camera, so I keep things relaxed. Hull is perfect for this style – guests are always so relaxed and a dream to capture.

03

Documentary, with a little direction

I photograph in the moment, blended with a few beautifully directed portraits – quick and painless, so everyone can get on and enjoy the reception. Expect a relaxed, unobtrusive approach that captures genuine moments all day.

And when the sun goes down

I stay for the party

Guests often say they don’t see wedding photographers staying past the first dance, but this is where I want to shake up the industry. The documentary style truly happens once everyone is on the dance floor – and I’m so lucky to see the joy and laughter when I stay into the late evening.

Questions Hull couples ask their wedding photographer

Prices, timings, venues and what happens if it rains – the things couples in Hull and the East Riding usually ask before booking.

Still got a question?

Ask me anything →

More questions answered →

How much does a Hull wedding photographer cost?

My Hull wedding photography packages start at £1,650 for The Day Package, from bridal prep through to the first dance. The Big Package, with no time limit, is £1,900, and The Album Package with a 12×12 leather bound album is £2,400. A £400 deposit secures your date.

Which Hull and East Riding wedding venues have you photographed?

Lots! Including Tickton Grange, Beverley Minster, Oaklands, The Barn at Willerby, The Manor Rooms in South Cave, Dunedin House in Patrington, Sledmere House, Riverlands (formerly The Barns East Yorkshire), Rise Hall, Cave Castle and Saltmarshe Hall. I’ve photographed at most of the venues around Hull, so if yours isn’t listed, just ask.

How long do the couple photos take?

Usually 15 to 30 minutes. I keep them quick and relaxed – a few directed portraits, then you’re back with your guests enjoying your day.

How many photos will we get?

The Day Package includes 700+ photos and The Big Package 800+. For a busy full day wedding it’s often 1,200 or more, and because I stay late, the evening can make up around half of your gallery.

When will we get our wedding photos?

You’ll get a preview within a week, and your full gallery within four weeks – in an online gallery you can share with your guests.

What happens if it rains on our wedding day?

We get creative. I carry flash and backup gear for any weather, and we can use the bridal suite or any sheltered spot at your venue – you’d be surprised how many great photos come from a small space.

Do you stay for the evening?

Yes – it’s my favourite part! The Big Package and The Album Package have no time limit, so I stay right through the evening, capturing the party long after most photographers have gone home.

Are you insured?

Yes, I’m fully insured, including indemnity insurance. I also carry two cameras and record to two memory cards at once, so your photos are backed up from the moment they’re taken.
