Finding your perfect Lincolnshire venue
Lincolnshire has wedding venues for every kind of couple: Georgian country houses, rustic barns, walled gardens and lakeside lawns for an outdoor ceremony. I’m Aden, a Lincolnshire wedding photographer with 17 years and more than 500 weddings behind me. I’ve photographed at every venue on this page.
So this isn’t a list copied from a directory. For each venue I’ll tell you what it’s really like on the day, where the best photos happen and which real weddings you can look through. Start with the style you love, then come and check if I’m free on your date.

Near Newark
Stubton Hall
A Grade II listed Regency house on the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire border, rebuilt in 1813 by the architect who worked on Windsor Castle. You get grand rooms, a front lawn made for confetti and parkland with old trees for golden hour portraits.
Wootton, North Lincolnshire
Wootton Hall
An exclusive use Georgian manor with chandeliers in the hall and a modern rustic barn for your meal and dance floor. The outdoor ceremony under the weeping willow is a real showstopper. The food is incredible too.
Crowle, North Lincolnshire
Hirst Priory
An elegant 18th century house with more ceremony options than almost anywhere: inside the house, in a tipi, down in the vaults or in the woodland between the trees. The vaults make amazing moody portraits.

Hackthorn Estate
Perfect if you dream of an outdoor wedding. Laura and Nicholas married beside the lake, then walked through an ivy covered door into the walled garden for their reception in a tipi. It feels like a secret garden.

Cleatham Hall
A beautiful little mansion hidden away in the countryside, with seasonal gardens that give you lovely backdrops for couple and family photos whatever the time of year.

Elsham Hall
My most photographed venue. I’ve been working here since 2013. A warm brick barn, a lake with a lakeside pavilion for outdoor ceremonies, old trees and a walled garden full of roses. Peacocks included!

A characterful old oak barn that dresses up beautifully, with Lincolnshire cornfields close by for golden couple portraits in summer.

A hidden gem in the countryside outside Grimsby with a wedding barn, a pretty church within walking distance and some of the best wedding food in the county.

Healing Manor
A hotel with its own wedding barn, gardens and lakes. It comes into its own in winter, with fairy lights in the barn and a fire show on the darkest night of the year.

The George
An elegant coaching inn in the far south of the county. The courtyard entrance makes a beautiful setting, especially for a winter or festive wedding.

What to look for when you view a venue
After hundreds of weddings, these are the things that make the biggest difference to your photos. Take this list with you on your venue visits.
- Light in the getting ready roomBig windows make soft, flattering photos of you, your dress and your bridesmaids. Ask to see the bridal suite in daylight.
- A rain plan you would be happy withThis is England, after all! Look for a covered spot near the ceremony and a pretty room or doorway for portraits if the weather turns.
- Space around the ceremonyRoom for guests to see you and space for me to move without blocking anyone’s view. Outdoor ceremonies are lovely, but always have a backup.
- A golden hour spot nearbyTen minutes of evening light in a field, a garden or under old trees gives you the photos you’ll frame. It should be a short walk, not a drive.
- A dance floor with characterFairy lights, beams and space to move make the evening photos sing. Ask whether the dance floor is in the same room as your meal.
- Somewhere to stayIf your venue has rooms, you can get ready on site, which means more relaxed morning photos and less time in the car.

What are the best wedding venues in Lincolnshire?
It depends on the day you want. For a grand country house, Stubton Hall, Wootton Hall and Hirst Priory are hard to beat. For a relaxed barn party, Elsham Hall, Abbey Farm and Hall Farm are favourites. For an outdoor ceremony, look at Hackthorn Estate, Wootton Hall and the lakeside pavilion at Elsham Hall.
Which Lincolnshire venues can hold an outdoor ceremony?
Lots! Hackthorn Estate beside the lake, Wootton Hall under the weeping willow, the woodland at Hirst Priory, the lakeside pavilion at Elsham Hall and beside the golf course at Laceby Manor. Always ask to see the wet weather plan too.

When should we book our venue and photographer?
Most couples book their venue first, then their photographer soon after, because popular summer Saturdays go quickly. As soon as you have a date, send me a message and I’ll check it for you.
How much does a wedding photographer cost in Lincolnshire?
My packages start at £1,650 for The Day Package, from bridal prep through to the first dance. The Big Package has no time limit and is £1,900. The Album Package, with a 12×12 leather bound album, is £2,400. A £400 deposit secures your date. See all packages.
What’s the wet weather plan at Lincolnshire venues?
We get creative. I carry flash and backup gear for any weather. Every venue on this page has a sheltered doorway, barn or room where we can still get beautiful photos. You’d be surprised how many great photos come from a small space.
Do you photograph weddings outside Lincolnshire?
Yes, all over. I photograph weddings across Yorkshire, Hull and East Yorkshire, Scunthorpe and further afield, so wherever you marry, just ask.
