Laura and Nicholas got married at the beautiful Hackthorn Walled Garden, nestled in the heart of Lincolnshire, not too far from Lincoln itself. As a Hackthorn Estate wedding photographer – its a pleasure to work at venues like this and wow it was as hot a day, that’s also an understatement! During the day I had to take some time in my car to cool off with the air con as it got a little too hot.

Hackthorn Estate is the perfect wedding venue for an outdoor wedding. Laura and Nicholas got married next to the lake, enjoying a fly past by the red arrows mid ceremony. The estate itself is a venue that contains everything – a short walk from the ceremony through the gardens you find yourself taking a journey through an ivy covered door into the walled garden. A garden that feels like you have just escaped the world and disappeared into Narnia or the secret garden.

Hackthorn Walled Garden offering Tipi Tribe on your wedding day

Offering the unique opportunity to have your reception in the walled garden inside a tipi run by The Tipi Tribe. This means you are among the rows of cottage flowers, greenhouses and orchards – all these make for a stunning backdrop for your guests to mingle between. You have access to it all!

With chickens roaming (and making guest appearances in the couple photos – show offs), red arrows flying over and the sun beaming down – Laura and Nicholas looked absolutely stunning standing underneath the canopy of the trees surrounded by their loved ones. The light through the day was insane. Catching that warm golden glow that you only see in the last few weeks of summer was perfection.

It was great to see a good friend John Morton here at the wedding, walking around the corner after the ceremony to be greeted by him always makes for a great day!

Everything is done to the highest quality.
