Emma & Pete’s wedding at Sutton Bonington Hall was one rich in happiness. It was one of those weddings that at the end of the night your cheeks hurt due to smiling and laughing so much. Weddings are moments in life that are full of so many emotions – all based around a positive vibe and family. I really did have an incredible time and I thank them both for allowing me to be their photographer. Being a wedding photographer the best job in the world. I wouldn’t change it for a thing!

Sutton Bonington Hall

Sutton Bonington Hall is a grade II listed Queen Anne country house in the East Midlands – close to the borders of Leicestershire , Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. One thing that struck me about the house is the care and attention to detail. If you are looking for a venue that is full of class and elegance, this is the venue for it. On the day itself, the weather was one of the hottest days of the year. We had to move where we were going to have the bridal portraits, as the temperature was well into the 30s. Any normal venue with a glass orangery for the reception, you would panic on a day like this, but it was heaven. They had air-conditioning pumping through and it was such a relief on the day.

Music maestro

I want to make a special mention to the band – The Monroe Band (Monroe Acoustic Duo). I managed to find them having a quick drink beforehand and had a great chat with them all. It’s so refreshing to find fellow wedding suppliers that are so down to earth. I get to see a lot of bands with my job, but these really got the party going. You can see from the photos everyone got up and partied! They come very highly recommended from me and definitely deserve a mention.

A compliment like no other –  a happy couple

Emma sent me an email shortly after receiving their photos I just wanted to include. I love emails like this!

Just wanted to say thanks as the USB arrived this week. Very nice packaging! We have spent some lovely evenings with a gin and tonic looking at the photos – they are great and there are some hilarious pics of the evening partying which we love!
