George Hotel Wedding Photography
Natalie and James chose me to capture their George Hotel wedding photography, I was honoured to be at such an elegant festive themed day. The George Hotel is in the far south of Lincolnshire, near Stamford. It’s an old coaching inn, and the perfect place for this wedding. In all honesty, I don’t know which came first, the entrance courtyard holding pots filled with Christmas trees or the fact that this complimented the whole wedding?! Inside, I had serious interior design envy at the Christmas trees hanging from the ceiling. It sounds crazy, but the pictures speak for themselves! The person who thought of this truly had the thoughts of George Hotel wedding photography in the back of their mind. It certainly made me feel festive (and as if I was living a Country Living festive photo shoot!)
Winter weddings in Lincolnshire
On a crisp, cold winter morning, Natalie prepared for her wedding day at her parents house. I mean, we couldn’t have requested better! The colours of the day stayed to greens and whites, which added to the elegance. Everything was of the highest quality, but as they say, ‘less is more,’ and this wedding oozed the more! The ceremony began at their local church, just down the road from Natalie’s parents. They had dressed the church beforehand lots of white pillar candles, that sat around the church, setting the scene.
On the evening, we took some time to make the most of the fabulous setting, capturing some magical couples photos. It was a chance for them to have a little time together to photograph some of those first hours of post ceremony glow. I just loved the whole feel and style of this day. Then, the party. Drinks, dancing, lipstick and of course, the obligatory ‘ties around heads’ photos. Such a brilliant end to the day!
Humber engagement photo shoot
As part of their wedding photography package, Natalie and James had an engagement shoot. They chose to have this at Spurn Point over the River Humber into East Yorkshire. Spending time with them earlier in the year, had made me really excited for the day. Plus, it meant a fantastic opportunity to get to know them in a relaxed situation, making their wedding so much more comfortable for everyone. I just love the area around Spurn Point as well, it feels so far from everything and the fact that it meant something to Natalie and James made it all the more meaningful.
