Rachel and Alex celebrated their absolutely stunning Hackness Grange wedding, a wedding photographer dream! This wedding venue is a country house on the edges of the Yorkshire Moors National Park in the North of England.
I had been waiting for their wedding as we had their engagement shoot just a few weeks before. These two I would consider, “Professional 2p machine players.” We had taken a trip into Scarborough and absolutely hammered the 2p machines, winning a wide range of prizes during their engagement shoot. Although the prizes were something to take away with us – spending the day with these two on a typical windy day was truly a day to remember for us all. If you would like a photoshoot like this – consider looking at my family photoshoots, it doesn’t have to just be for a family but couples can book one too!
With both of them getting ready at Hackness, Alex choosing to get ready in the honeymoon suite and Rachel in the courtyard bridal suite. Rachel had the most amazing family heirloom – a sixpence that had been passed from wedding to wedding. With a list of all the brides it had been there for, I just love this special touch.
Situated in the Yorkshire countryside in North Yorkshire.
This is one advantage getting married at Hackness grange hotel, the scope of traditionally decorated rooms it offers for you and your guests is perfect for the location. While a lot of venues don’t offer accommodation, Hackness has a wide range of rooms for your bridal party. Being a listed georgian manor its a given its going to look beautiful for your perfect day.
Being a Hackness grange wedding photographer, the outdoor ceremony on the lake was truly stunning, a true asset of the york moors national park. In my personal opinion this is one of the most beautiful locations in Yorkshire. Surrounded by their loved ones and the occasional baby birds on the water making sounds throughout the ceremony. It’s a little hidden gem in Yorkshire.
Hackness grange is the perfect wedding venue for outdoor weddings
As a surprise, Alex had arranged for a pair of alpacas to make an appearance after the confetti as extra members of the bridal party! With a wedding coordinator on hand throughout the day, they were able to organise this as a surprise. It made the wedding photographs really unique but also a challenge, they always say dont work with children and animals – well lets just say it was a challenge!
