When looking for their Saltmarshe hall wedding photographer in East Yorkshire, Hannah and Josh got in touch. They’d met me at a previous wedding and knew they wanted me to be their photographer. This means so much to me, as they’d met me, liked my work, had the lowdown from their friends and yet still got in touch! The highest praise you can have as a creative and someones whose work is subjective. I pride myself on capturing as much as what happens as I can, in as natural way as possible. Yes, there’s a place for posed photography, but candid photos add to the beauty. Anyway, more of the bride and groom and less of me.

Hannah had a relaxed morning getting ready at home with her family and bridesmaids, before some of the more emotional first looks I’ve captured. Hannah’s dad was a rockstar of emotion, seriously, if you just look out for him throughout the full gallery, his face alone tells the story. They’d styled the hall beautifully with a classic pastel colour scheme and elegant decor throughout. We captured so many simply beautiful images both in the grounds and in the house, before returning to their guests. The speeches were hilarious and this is where the laughter didn’t stop!

Saltmarsh Hall is a wedding venue that offers so much more. It’s a hotel and so allows couple the opportunity to visit year after year, whether for the full dinner, bed and breakfast overnight stay, or a cheeky Saltmarshe Hall afternoon tea to rekindle the memories of your wedding day. There are many wedding venues near Hull, but this country house is something really special. I’m really lucky that I’ve photographed many weddings at Saltmarshe Hall, but the staff there are great, the venue offers so many photography options and I’m yet to come across the same wedding. Whilst not being one of the most unusual wedding venues, it does offer so many gorgeous spaces and options for your day.

There’s a freestanding bath in the bridal suite that Hannah was determined to get a good photo in, and got stuck in! The giggles just did not stop and when you’re that giddy carnage ensues!
