Laura and Greg’s dog friendly boho wedding at Riverlands is one for the record books! We laughed all the way through our first meeting and we laughed our way through their wedding day too. As I always say to couples, it’s not me that makes the photos. It’s you. Your personalities are what I capture. These two brought a crazy (good) bunch of people with them.

A cottage morning and a wedding newspaper

Laura got ready in the cute little cottage across the road from Riverlands. She did her own makeup too, which still amazes me. Being so close meant I could pop over to the venue for the details and catch Greg and the groomsmen as they arrived.

Their own wedding newspaper was out on the table, Olive the dog was fast asleep on the floor and the bridesmaids in sage green went wild when they saw Laura in her dress. Then it was an easy walk across the road for her first look with her dad.

A dog friendly wedding ceremony with Olive by their side

You could tell how much this day meant to Greg. As Laura walked down the aisle with her dad he was overwhelmed with emotion, while Ruth Lee played the harp.

Standing right by his side was Olive, their dog, who stole the limelight more than once. She lay calmly at their feet for the whole ceremony. Even the registrars said how incredible it was to see a dog so settled next to the couple.

Confetti and group photos under the vines

Confetti came straight after, with Olive trotting along beside them. Then it was the group photos, done quickly so everyone could get back to the drinks under the vines.

Speeches, space hoppers and a homemade cake

Speeches came first at 3pm, so the nerves were out of the way before the food. The wooden barn was in stitches from start to finish.

After the meal we went for a wander around the farm with Olive for their couple photos. The veil came over the two of them, we walked the lanes through the fields and somehow we ended up on space hoppers. Then they cut the cake they had made themselves, which is no small job on top of planning a wedding!

A sax, a DJ and a packed dance floor

Their first dance was at 8pm in the wooden barn. Ryan Smith was on the decks with Sax Every Weekend joining part way through. The guests absolutely loved it.

The dance floor was packed all night. It did get quite messy and a few photos are a little too much for socials, in a good way! That’s exactly why I stay for the whole evening, so I can capture everything.
